Product Description
The Cornell custom wood mantel shelf with clean lines and wide, sweeping crown molding is a beautiful fireplace mantel shelf with a lot of character. Use it above a fireplace or place it in any room of your home as a decorative floating shelf. Customize the dimensions to your liking for the perfect fit. All stain grade mantels are made from a combination of hardwoods and veneers. Paint grade product is made from solid poplar moldings and MDF which can be primed and painted.

We just installed a new gas fireplace after removing the old brick faced fireplace. We wanted a clean contemporary look, and stumbled upon this web site. Took a chance it was as good as advertised. We are impressed with the looks and quality of the mantel. We ordered the Corinth Mantel Shelf. It is all we were looking for, with easy installation.

Well-made, solid product - a minor packaging problem

The folks on the phone were very helpful and friendly, the mantle was well-priced, shipped in a timely fashion, was very attractive and well-made. (I got the maple veneer.) It was easy to install.
There were a couple spots where styrofoam packing had stuck to the top of the mantle. Some careful work with a putty knife and some careful sanding took care of most of it.
Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

We will send some photos of the shelves that we bought from MantelCraft. They were already sanded, but I went over them with sandpaper, primed them and then painted and installed them. My wife LOVES them on the wall in our bedroom.
